Building sustainability through chicken, pig and vegetable farming!
OUR MISSION is to become a self sustainable project. We believe that to effectively continue developing and initiating social projects we must secure our own funding rather than depending on donors and sponsors alone.
We were generously donated a free lease facility on the outskirts of Nairobi for more than 10 years. This has given us a perfect area to rehabilitate the boys. The centre provides a STABLE and SAFE environment for the boys that had previously been living on the streets of Nairobi.
Through generous donations from numerous supporters, we have been able to fund the renovation of the facilities, which includes sleeping areas, wash rooms, a kitchen and the chicken and pig sheds. The centre will allow us to establish many more facilities and income generating projects such as vocational skills workshops, greenhouses and other agricultural projects.
This will help us create STABILITY and SUSTAINABILITY for the project which in turn will allow us to reach out to more street children, giving them the opportunity for a better life.
The program introduces the boys to small scale business, agricultural and management skills. It also enables the boys to be economically secure in the future. The funds generated through the sales of chicken and pigs are used to support the ongoing operational expenses for the centre.
